This workshop introduces how to make, decorate and print artisan paper and cloth and shows how to bind with different techniques using the papers and clothes we have made.
These hands-on courses are suitable for all participants, from established artists and designers to students and anyone who wants to explore the range of possibilities that engraving can offer.

W_1 Artisan paper and japanese bind
This course introduces notions and practices about making artisan paper from natural fibers pulp. Once the paper is made, we will use it to bind with the Japanese binding technique.
Dates: Saturdays 07th and 14th of March 2015
Hours: From 17 to 21h.

W_2 Paper decoration and binding
Addressed to learning techniques of paper decoration related to binding (marbled, paste and stamped paper) and the application of them to “copta” binding.

Hours: Sunday from 10 to 14h and Saturday from 17 to 21h.

W_3 Silkscreen on cloth and binding
Addressed to learning how to print with silkscreen on cloth and to apply the printed cloth for binding with “belga” technique.
